Coffee Passport

One of my goals for 2026 is to journal more, whether it be my random thoughts, or exploring my hobby of trying new coffees and cafés. Something I do in every country I visit is try their coffee. In Vietnam, I had cà phê sữa đá pretty much daily. In France, despite my general disapproval, I tried so many different shops (none of them were my favorite). And as I reflect on these experiences and new opportunities, I find myself yearning for a physical manifestation of this. Yes, I have my pictures on my phone, and the bitter, yet comforting taste in my mind, but I don’t have anything to look at that says, “You’ve been here!!!”

As I have spent the past few weeks thinking about how I can solve this “problem” I have found myself in, I thought of creating what I’m calling a “coffee passport.” While it lacks an official format or template, I want it to loosely be a collection of pages in a journal, each page representing either a new style of coffee, or just a new coffee shop. This way, each page gives me that physical manifestation of a memory I had with my travels, but also just in my hometown.

With this idea in mind, I’ve been doing research on journals and have been, well, struggling to say the least. I’m interested in the Traveler’s Notebook, but it seems to be sold out everywhere I look… If you have any suggestions, please send them to me either through Mastodon, or by emailing either my personal email, or my public, website email.

One of the most exciting parts of this is that I can also digitally archive my content, creating more content here 🤭. This website certainly lacks, but I hope to expand it as the year progresses, creating a personal space for myself. ◆
